About RDO7

“Taking ownership” means taking charge of our game. It is time to stop blaming things beyond our control - the economic crisis, negative press, and so on. This year’s RDO7 Conference will focus on the many and different ways the timeshare industry can work together as a community to offer people the best timeshare experience and build a better and brighter future for us and our owners.

Goals of the Conference

While individual RDO members work to promote timeshare in their own way, the RDO7 Conference aims to build upon the strong community spirit and encourage everyone to collaborate more closely together. RDO intends to use the conference to strengthen ties between all interested parties, gather everyone’s input, and together come up with a plan of action to present a consistent and powerful message that will sell the timeshare holiday experience and encourage people to “take ownership” of our resorts.

Who Should Attend?

The RDO Conference is the only event of its type in Europe. If you are involved or interested in timeshare, fractionals or any other form of shared leisure ownership, then this is a unique opportunity to learn from leading figures and have your say on the direction and future of the vacation ownership industry. Register today and get ready to join in lively debate, network with the movers and shakers, discuss business opportunities, and even relax with colleagues as you enjoy the different social events. We look forward to seeing you there.

Schedule

Two full days packed with engaging discussion, crucial networking, and, of course, lots of socialising and fun. Please click on each item to open the further information where available.

Digital leadership – getting off the back foot to win online
Few industries have been impacted more radically by the Internet than tourism, leisure and hospitality. The mobile revolution, changes to search engines and the explosion in social media has put the customer firmly in control. This sea change requires strong, strategic, customer-focused digital marketing leadership, and a commitment to market with, not market at, your customers. Gareth will examine how digital leadership compels you to look after not just your digital voice, but also your digital footprint and digital shadow.

Cruising sets sail towards younger clients: lessons for timeshare
The cruise industry has seen phenomenal growth in recent years and much of this has come from a dramatic shift in who goes on a cruise holiday. The average age of cruisers has dropped from 56 to 49, with 25% aged 30-39 and 30 % of cruise vacationers sailing with children. Andrew Stuart will explore how the industry has shifted the perception away from an older generation and will show how a different mindset towards dining, investment in ships - which are more like floating resorts - and communicating cruising’s fantastic value has made a difference. Are there lessons there for the timeshare industry also seeking to attract a younger clientele?

Why putting such a community at the heart of what you do will be an invaluable source for customer insight, engagement, advocacy, credibility and sales.
